Dr. Rodriguez has been practicing in Baltimore since 1991 and is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic
Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Rodriguez graduated from Colgate University with honors major in French Literature (1976).
He then received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin (1980; graduated in top 25% of
class). He completed a five-year residency in General Surgery at Tulane University Medical School (1985). This was followed by a fellowship
in Head & Neck/Oncologic surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, England (1986).
In 1988, Dr. Rodriguez
completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at Yale University Medical School. After finishing his residency, he was
invited to join the faculty at Yale University where he taught until 1991.
Dr.
Rodriguez is currently an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), teaching Computer Imaging courses and serving
on several national ASPS committees, as well as lecturing at the ASPS yearly meetings. Dr. Rodriguez has served as president of the
Maryland State Society of Plastic Surgeons, John Stage Davis. He has published many articles in medical journals and has been invited to
lecture on various Plastic Surgery topics at the local, national and international level.
Dr. Rodriguez
has traveled to France where he studied under Dr. Claude Lassus, who developed the �Single Scar Technique for breast surgery and Dr.
Rodriguez has incorporated this technique as his standard for breast reductions.
Dr. Rodriguez is in
solo practice and is Chief of Plastic Surgery at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He has attracted patients from the Eastern Seaboard, the
Caribbean and Europe and has performed thousands of medical and cosmetic procedures. His surgical patients have included doctors, nurses
and persons in medical products/pharmaceutical sales.
On a personal note, Dr. Rodriguez was born was
born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is married and has two children. His hobbies are computing and sculpting. Dr. Rodriguez is fully
trilingual, speaking English, Spanish and French.
